We are incredibly proud to share that four of Turbo’s channel leaders have been recognized as CRN 2019 Women of the Channel, an annual list that honors women for their leadership and impact on their organization’s channel program as well as vision and expertise.
Congrats to our very own Jennifer Heard, Jennifer Murphy, LouLou Healey, and Melissa Lyons on this recognition. Thank you for all you do to make our partners successful and for continually elevating Turbo’s channel business! Our leaders each have unique backgrounds and career paths which have led them to Turbo and allowed them to make an incredible impact on the company. Their contributions to our business, career highlights and other interesting tidbits are below.
Jennifer Heard, Senior Vice President of Cloud Partnerships
Jennifer’s three decades of experience in leading roles at technology companies make her a veteran in the IT space. After a 22-year career at Microsoft, Jennifer joined Turbonomic to help scale and build our Cloud Alliances and Cloud Channel Ecosystem. Her success can be seen in the fact that Turbonomic has become one of the most trusted ISV’s to Microsoft, AWS, and over 50 cloud channel partners. Jennifer played a critical role in establishing multiple AWS competencies, co-sell status with Microsoft, and marketplace alignment with the leading cloud platforms and their extended partner ecosystem.
Fun Fact: Two women that Jennifer admires are Sheryl Sandberg and Ginni Rometty, both of whom represent successful women in tech with powerful voices. Jennifer respects Sheryl’s resiliency during challenging times, and Ginni’s ability to take risks in transforming a legacy business.
Jennifer Murphy, VP of Alliances
With more than 20 years in the software channel, Jen has acquired extensive experience defining and executing programs aimed at cloud, seller, system integrator and technology partners. At Turbonomic, her engagement with the Cloud partner ecosystem in particular has been critical to our growth in this area. As we remain closely aligned with the cloud platform leaders, she continues to help fast-track our cloud ecosystem partners in their enablement and engagement. This year’s recognition is in addition to Jen being recognized in multiple CRN lists, including 2018 Channel Chiefs, 2018 and 2017 Women of the Channel, and the 2017 Power 100.
Fun fact: The most binge-worthy show that Jen watched this year was The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, a show about a woman who goes from living a pampered life in New York to becoming a divorcee trying to begin a career as a comedian in the 1950s. Midge Maisel inspires people to take control of their life and make decisions for themselves even when everyone seems to be against you – and doing so with wit and confidence.
LouLou Healey, Senior Director of Global Channel & Alliances Marketing and Head of Americas Field Marketing
Prior to Turbonomic, LouLou headed up the Global Channel Marketing and Campaigns at VCE and has previously held various marketing leadership positions at EMC, AT&T, Microsoft, and TIBCO. In the last year at Turbonomic, LouLou has launched multiple marketing initiatives that make it easier for partners to co-market with Turbonomic and capture mindshare together. Looking to the future, LouLou wants to focus on how the business and our partners can, together, capitalize on cloud market opportunities to create new revenue streams for partners.
Fun Fact: Aside from LouLou’s accomplishments in the channel, she says that her greatest honor is being able to balance her career with being a mom – she notes that she is grateful to work at a company and have a manager that’s supportive of working moms!
Melissa Lyons, Senior Manager of Global Partner Programs & Strategy
Melissa is no stranger to awards lists at CRN – she’s been named to CRN’s Women of the Channel List every year since 2014, CRN’s Top 100 People You Don’t Know but Should List, and CRN’s Up &Comers list in 2017. Her extensive career has enabled her to launch partner programs for solutions providers, MSPs, cloud partners, alliance partners and distribution partners around the world. Her role in launching Turbonomic’s revamped Partner Program set the foundation for our channel GTM strategy, providing partners with financial incentives, resources, and systems needed to successfully grow their business with Turbonomic. Next up… accelerating our recently announced System Integrators program.
Fun Fact: Prior to her experience in the tech industry, Melissa’s interest in music led her to intern with EMI Music in college, a leading music company that works with artists like Lily Allen, Coldplay, Katy Perry, and Pink Floyd. To this day, two of Melissa’s favorite hobbies include singing and playing piano.
Congrats again to our winners and thank you for your leadership.
