The Technology industry has always been moving fast and often times it can seem difficult to navigate for people getting their foot in the door. This month we’re showcasing our devotion to our company value of ‘Transparency’ in a few ways, but for this blog we wanted to highlight one of the characteristics that our recruiting team looks for in all of our candidates, so you'll have an insider tip on what we look for. Yes, we’re giving you some insider information, but our hope is that you’ll have a better idea if Turbonomic is a good fit for you and your working style.
Turbonomic has a culture of learners who stretch their boundaries and challenge themselves to become better each and every day. This constant learning is what fuels our success and keeps the work interesting. One person who has grown in big ways with Turbonomic is Catherine Kellogg, who is currently our Director of Field Marketing.
Continuing on our spotlight series of our remote workforce, we caught up with Rick Ochs who is a Senior Product Manager here at Turbonomic. He works out of his home in the Seattle area where he formerly worked at Microsoft.
Dallas DeMarr, our Technical Content Strategist lives almost 2,000 miles away from the Turbonomic Headquarters here in Boston and has been working remotely for over a year now. He provided a 'day in the life' rundown on remote work, which you can find here, but we wanted to also get a sense for the work-life balance, the tools that help him be successful while remote and more.
Turbonomic offers flexibility for our workforce whether they're based at our Headquarters, one of our global offices, or you're remote. The company is continuing to improve the ways we connect and communicate with the goal of strengthening our team and succeeding in our mission to serve our customers.
At Turbonomic we have 3-Core Cultural Pillars that drive what we do and how we operate as a team. These pillars are; Trust, Performance and Transparency. When we think about Trust within our culture, there are countless examples of how trust as a foundational piece of our culture has grown organically and continues to thrive as we grow. One person who closely relates to the pillar of Trust is Yulanda, our Payroll Manager here at Turbonomic.
This past year I have been looking for something in my life that would give me a real purpose. Not just a job but something that was fun, and I enjoyed doing. This made the job search a big challenge. I’ve been in the IT field for a long time in various positions. I also like to fix things and make them better, so finding the company that would value and enable me to improve the company while being in a field I enjoy again proved challenging. I wanted to share my experience interviewing with Turbonomic, which was nothing short of amazing! If you're considering Turbonomic, read on!
Turbonomic is a company built by brilliant engineers and grown through a highly-motivated sales team who demonstrate our value to customers. We offer many opportunities across the sales team, but one that some candidates always have questions about is our Enterprise Sales Account Executive positions and what we look for in top candidates. To answer some of this, I sat down with our go-to-market team Recruiter, Zach Choquette.
It's sometimes difficult choosing the first step or the next step in a career, especially within the world of software development. There is a wide spectrum of products at different companies that you can choose from and then there is the question of "how will my career progress at this company?"
